Know God Personally

Know God Personally
Do you ever feel there is just something more to life? A need for something greater than yourself, for love, hope and security? A sense that God is working around you, but without an acute awareness of His presence?

God wants you to know Him
God was not going to leave you constantly seeking. Since the beginning He had a plan to let you know Him better.

You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. - Psalm 9:10

Jesus said ... "The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." - Luke 19:9,10

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. - 2 Corinthians 5:19

God offers you forgiveness and eternal life with Him
God presented His Son as a gift to account for our shortfallings so that we may know Him. But it is up to YOU to accept that gift. God does not promise an easier life, but He does promise a more fulfilling life. And He promises that after we die, He will raise us to life again and give us everlasting life with Him forever.

"In Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." - John 10:10

"I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" - John 11:25-26

Recognize you are a sinner.
You are separated from God because of your sin. You cannot know God until you your sin is taken away. It is because of this that God sent Christ as a sacrifice. He died so your sins could be forgiven, and so your relationship with God could finally begin.

Admit that you cannot save yourself.
You cannot save yourself by being good, baptized or confirmed. Only God can decide the means of forgiveness and salvation, and He declared that people can be saved only through Jesus' obedient sacrifice.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8

Realize that your sins were laid on Jesus.
When Christ died on the cross, He took your sins and the sins of the rest of the world upon Himself. ( 1 Peter 2:24 )

Believe that Christ and Christ alone can save you.
"I am the way: no one comes to the Father but through me." ( John 14:6 ) No other person, religion deed or doctrine can save you--Only Jesus.

Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and your God.
There are no other conditions, and there is not better time to start your relationship with God than right now. God takes everyone just as they are. You only need accept His Son Jesus Christ as your Savior and Healer, and as the God and King of your life.
