Paul's Missionary Journeys

Mission in Troas

Acts 20:7-12

Five days later (we) joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days. Acts 20:6b

City: See description from second missionary journey here.

Summary: Paul joined with the people at Troas to break bread with them. Since he was planning on leaving the next day, he spoke well into the evening. There was a young man there, named Eutychus, sitting in a window, who was gradually falling into a deep sleep. When he fell asleep, he fell three stories to the ground and was killed. Paul ran downstairs and threw his arms around the body, he told the people not to be alarmed and that he is alive. Paul returned upstairs and continued speaking to those assembled until daybreak and the young man was brought home alive and well.
